I had the honor of celebrating Katie and Joe's beautiful wedding on May 19, 2018 as their Albany, NY Wedding DJ at The State Room in Albany, NY!

I had met these two a couple years ago at a friend of thier's wedding. They knew right away who they wanted as their DJ and I was truly humbled. They hosted their friends and family at the stunning State Room in Albany. The ceremony held in the ballroom was beautiful and guests enjoyed a elegant string quartet prelude before the lovely bride arrived. After exchanging their vows, rings and a reading by a former bride of mine (shout out Ali) they were pronounced Husband & Wife then they walked down the aisle to a song that really showed how they feel!  - Best Day Of My Life by American Authors.

Now it's party time!

Guests headed upstairs to the second floor of the State Room for phase one of the reception "Cocktail Hour".  I followed them to cocktail hour where I got the chance to interact with their guests one on one by playing blackjack at tables. Each guest had the chance to get their hands on a fresh $1 Scratch off and who doesn't love a little innocent gambling. Cocktail hour was a great opportunity to get Joe's taste in music showcased from Jim Croce to The Beatles and even some Poison (don't worry I saved Talk Dirty To Me for later)

Once Katie & Joe's guests were primed up and fully satisfied from a filling cocktail hour, they were escorted down stairs to the ballroom for grand entrances of the wedding party, what entrances the were too. The wedding party came in with such energy and equipped with Marvel super hero memorabilia. As soon as Joe & Katie hit the dance floor all their loved ones were invited to join them for a celebration dance, They chose the Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling which set the tone perfectly. Afterwards they shared in their first dance to Elton John "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" completely surrounded by their loved ones.

What a night!

The rest of the night was a whirlwind of great food, laughter and memorable moments. I adored working with Jeff Foley as we always have a fun side by side which I think in a benefit for the couples we celebrate with. The State Room staff kept smiles on their faces and the great food coming all night long as well as a one of a kind Ice Cream Bar.

Thank you, Katie & Joe for allowing me the honor and pleasure of getting to know you both and for the opportunity of sharing in your wedding celebration. Bringing your friends, family and loved ones together on the dance floor was our main objective. I am happy to say Mission Accomplished!!
